Poly Premier Shirred Pleat Stage Skirting

Poly Premier shirred pleated stage skirts are commercial grade and excellent quality. Great quality polyester stage skirt for performance, easy care and durability. The fabric is also soil release and wrinkle resistant.

Shirred pleat is a gathering or ruffling of the fabric at the top, creating a soft, flowing look. This look is the top selling skirting system in the country. So feel safe when choosing this option as it is the regular solution for platforms skirting. 

With the bunched pleating, minor wrinkles won't show even after many uses. The stage will look professional for any special event. We also offer flat wrap stage skirt as well as the box pleat stage skirt option.

The Poly Premier fabric we use is medium weight polyester with 200 grams per square meter. This fabric weight grants even light colors not seen through.

The entire back top of the skirt has a 2" wide loop side sewn. This is the "female" side of the hook and loop, the one that is soft. This system allows to attach the skirt to your platform. We use only genuine VELCRO® brand fasteners.

If your platform doesn't already have the hook side, we also sell 25 yards rolls of adhesive hook side strips.

Some stage skirt manufacturers just use a hot knife to cut the fabric with no hem to cut cost. This results in a cheap stage skirt that will fray.

At Premier Table Linens, all our custom stage skirts have a full T3 thread finished hem. This creates an elegant appearance vs a cheap stage skirt appearance. Just as importantly, our hemmed skirting will not unravel after a few washes and will be durable. 

Custom sizing

Our team cut and sew each skirt as requested, so just measure the platform you want to cover. In most cases you will only need two measures: the total perimeter of the stage and the height from the floor. Production capabilities are any height from 6” to 79” in any length up to 35’.

However, for larger platforms, it is common to use independent panels for each side. If that is your case and you decide to go that way, you will need to order each side as an independent skirt. The main advantage of this solution is that it makes it easier to wash each panel individually.

We actually recommend ordering one panel per section of the stage system instead of a large one piece. Once hanging, it will look as one piece and it will be much easier to transport, store and launder.

Custom Color

The white stage skirt and the black stage skirt are the top sellers. However, we offer our stage skirts in a total of 74 colors. This vast variety make it easy to match school, event, corporate or wedding colors.

As an Easter egg we let you know that among those 74 colors, we offer "Toast". This is the stock color that is closer to the Pantone Color of the Year 2025, the "Mocha Mousse", which is Pantone 17-1230.

Flame Retardant / Fire Retardant

A lot of times, event organizers need to use fire-retardant materials. If that's your case, you can use our Poly Premier products. 

This stage skirting is flame retardant and passes the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) 701 testing. Moreover, the black stage skirt is also Inherently Fire Retardant (IFR) which is the highest level of fire retardancy.

Fire retardant stage skirts are important as many public venues have fire prevention requirements for vendors and exhibitors. Certification is available and we also offer the option to add IFR tags to each black stage skirt.

Laundering instructions

All Premier Table Linens stage skirting are machine-washable high grade polyester.

Wash the polyester stage skirt with a mild detergent. Be careful with the water temperature and do not wash or dry above 120°F, as this extreme heat can cause permanent wrinkles. Also take into account not to not overload the washer or dryer. Remove immediately and hang or place back on the stage so that any wrinkles can come out.

Washing will not affect the fire retardant capability since the fabric itself is inherently fire retardant.
