More and more public venues are requiring fire retardant stage skirts for stages. You will encounter many terms regarding fire retardant stage skirts;  flame retardant stage skirts, flame resistant (treated to slow down burning) and Inherently fire retardant stage skirts (IFR stage skirt). 

Our fire retardant, flame retardant stage skirt is an inherently fire retardant stage skirt meaning that the textile used is inherently non flammable. Since the IFR stage skirt fibers themselves are non flammable. Laundering does not affect their fire-suppression capabilities, unlike skirts treated with chemicals to be flame retardant.. In addition to our inherently fire retardant stage skirts being non flammable, they pass the National Fire Prevention Association NFPA 701 Test Method 1 testing.

We email certificates confirming that the skirts are flame retardant as well as results from an independent lab with testing results that confirm the flame retardant stag skirt meets NFPA 701 Test Method 1 testing.

In addition, we also offer the option of having a flame retardant NFPA 701 Test  tag sewn onto the back of each fire retardant stage skirt for $5.

AttachingThe Stage Skirting to the Stage

The back of the skirts have a 2” loop fastener sewn along the entire top. Attach this to the hook side fastener on your stage. If you do not already have fasteners on your stage, we offer 25 yards of adhesive hook side rolls on the listing.

Washing Instructions

Machine wash, use perm press cycle or split water temperatures (110-130°) with a cold water rinse.Tumble dry medium heat 120-160°. Do not overload the dryer. Consider ordering your fire retardant stage skirting in sections—one panel per section for each side of the stage—so that you can launder them properly. In addition, by ordering one panel per section of stage, many of the shorter panels qualify for the stage skirt special pricing.
