The 6 foot table is by far, the most often used for promotional events and trade shows. Let’s solve once and for all what size promotional tablecloths you should get for the standard 6 ft expo tables.

Before diving into sizing, we will explain the two table cover options available.

Different ways to cover a table with your custom logo or brand image

There are two options, a tablecloth or a fitted tablecloth. The logo tablecloth (also known as a table throw in the promotional and trade show industries)  which is more versatile, and the fitted option which gives a more tailored appearance.

  • Tablecloth
  • The table throw is a tablecloth that completely drapes the table. Lets say that the vendor always uses 6ft tables and therefor has a 6ft logo tablecloth. Last minute, they decide to attend an event where only 8ft tables are available. The 6’ tablecloth can be used, it will only be short on the sides.


  • Fitted tablecloth.
  • A fitted tablecloth is tapered. The sides come straight down, giving the table a clean, finished look.

    When using fitted tablecloths, it becomes even more important to have the correct table size and to know that this is a table that you own or a size that will always be available at events attended. Otherwise, this option will not work.

    Tablecloth sizing for 6 foot tables

    The most standard 6’ table is 30” wide, 72” length and 29” height.

    There are also tables called "Seminar" or "Classroom" tables, which are only 18" or 24" wide.

    For the standard 30” x 72” x 29” table, the correct size is 90” x 132” for a tablecloth with a logo. This size will cover the entire table to just above the ground. If instead of a tablecloth you desire a printed fitted tablecloth, the right size for a fitted tablecloth is 30” x 72” x 29”.

    Things To Consider Regarding Table Heights

    The standard table height is 29” or 30”. Many trade show exhibitors and vendors will either use tables with adjustable heights or table leg extenders. They set their display at either 36” or 42” height. Trade show studies have shown that the closer that products are to the consumer, the more likely they will be to make a purchase.
